Plants give and add life, energy and spice to your space for years with minimum care.

Studies have shown that working with plants is also beneficial to your physical and
emotional well-being.

FRESHENING AND EXTENDING THE LIFE OF YOUR FLOWERS

Wrap buds in brown paper, stand the stems in steamy water for a few minutes, remove
the flowers and place them in a clean container with flower food.

To eliminate the growth of excess bacteria, remove leaves and debris from the water
and near the water line.

EASY CARING FOR PLANTS

Most plants are hardy and require minimum with correct placement and irrigation.

Water your  plants every 2 - 2 1/2 weeks (overwatering can cause leaves to yellow and
fall off.

Purchase plant food stakes and stand them in  the soil for consistent fertilization.

To avoid burning the leaves, never stand plants in direct sunlight (this also applies to
flowers.

If leaves remain limp a day after watering, your plant may require ransplanting into a
larger pot.

When transplanting it helps to surround your plant with soil from the original container,
this will help to ease it into a new environment.

TIPS FOR PURCHASING NEW PLANTS

Do not purchase plants when flying insects are evident and examine the bottoms of
plant leaves for insects or pods.

One way of checking for flying insects is by disturbing the soil with a pencil or a sharp
object or by  tapping  the side of the container.

It is best to isolate your plant for 2 weeks, if insects are evident return the plant to the
retailer.



Be creative!  Combine plants such as ivy, crotons, palms and
white butterflies in a beautiful container to create an
eye-catching arrangement.
